#1 How do I register for an account?
Registering for an account with DirtPail.com is quick and easy. 

  • Go to the Registration Tab at the top of any page, and fill out the Registration Form
  • Click Sign Me Up.  You will receive a confirmation email to verify registration. 
  • In your Confirmation email, click on the link provided to verify your registration.

 You are good to go!

#2 How do I post a Dirt / Dumpsite Listing?

You must first Log In to your account.  Your ID is the email address you provided when you registered, along with your chosen password, also provided by you. 

Upon Log In,

  • You will be taken directly to your My Account page. 
  • Click Dirt Listings tab, then Add New Listing.  Enter all information important to the project.
  • Click Insert Dirt Listing at the bottom of the page. 

Your project is now available for all registered Contractor Members to view.

#3 How do I edit / delete a Listing?

Repeat all steps taken to get to your My Account page from Q2. 

  • Click the Dirt Listings tab. You will see all listings you have posted to your account.  
  • Click the EDIT button for that project, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  • Delete Dirt Listing - Removes selected listing from the system.  
  • Update Dirt Listing - Allows you to save and update changes to chosen listing.

List as many projects as you like.  From 1 to 1000!

#4 How do I know how much dirt I need, or need to get rid of?

Upon posting your request from your My Listings page, you will notice another helpful feature provided by DirtPail.com, the Dirt Calculator,  which is set on the right side of the Posting page. Simply enter your site or area dimensions (Length, Width, Depth) and it will calculate for you your projects total cubic yards!  Whether you need, or need to get rid of excess material, it's a great tool!

#5 How do I post a Classified Ad?

Upon Log In,

  • You will be taken directly to your My Account page. 
  • Click Classifieds tab, then Add New Classified.  Enter all information important to the project.
  • Upload up to 5 pictures for each classified listing.
  • Click Insert Classified at the bottom of the page.

DirtPail.com allows you an UNLIMITED number of Classified Ads!  If you have it for sale, sell it here to the audience you want to target...  OTHER CONTRACTORS!

#6 How do I purchase a Banner Ad?

Upon Log In,

  • You will be taken directly to your My Account page. 
  • Click Advertising tab.
  • Choose either Global or Local (state specific)ad, along with length of time.
  • Purchase ad, and upload your banner ad.
  • Click Insert Ad at the bottom of the page.

DirtPail.com tracks your ad(s) for you by tracking how many visits you received from our site.  Click on the Stats & Details button to view your ads history, and Edit Length & Details to upload a new banner, URL address, etc.  DirtPail.com makes it easy for you to manage your own advertising for only pennies/day!

#7 How do I submit an article or blog entry?
DirtPail.com encourages all of our members to participate in the site, including writing articles or blog entries.  Everyones input is helpful in working together for a common goal, which is surviving this current economic crisis. 

Upon Log In,

  • You will be taken directly to your My Account page. 
  • Click the Blog tab.  This takes you to the My Blog page.  
  • Fill out the New Blog Entry Form, and include all information you want posted.
  • When finished editing, click Add Blog Entry at the bottom of the page.

Upion submission, your blog/article will be reviewed by DirtPail.com.  Upon approval, you will notified when your article will become published for all to view.  Please be aware that DirtPail.com will not allow this forum to be used as a sounding board to for participants to be detrimental or harmful to other members or businesses.  If DirtPail.com feels that your

#8 How do I update my Business Directory Listing?

You must first Log In to your account.  Your ID is the email address you provided when you registered, along with your chosen password, also provided by you. 

Upon Log In,

  • You will be taken directly to your My Account page. 
  • Click the Business Directory tab.  
  • Click Update Details, and this takes you the My Business Listing page.
  • When finished editing, click Update Directory at the bottom of the page.

Listing your website URL and uploading your company logo are a great way to enhance your exposure to potential customers and vendors.  This is INCLUDED with your membership, so take advantage of it!
